Do you have any Rooms with 2 beds?While none of our rooms feature two standard beds, the Washington room provides a king bed with an accompanying twin trundle, and the Bennington room comes with a king bed and a pull-out loveseat that converts to a twin mattress.

Do you accept dogs?We welcome dogs in our Caledonia and Franklin rooms. A $35.00 dog fee applies, and all pets must adhere to our pet policy, which can be found on the bottom of our 'Rooms' page.

Do you accept children?Children of all ages are warmly welcomed at the inn. While all rooms are priced for two guests, only the Bennington and Orleans rooms have the capacity to host a third person for an added charge.

What is your cancellation policy?Reservations are confirmed with a deposit equivalent to one night's stay plus tax. For a refund of this deposit, we require a cancellation notice 14 days in advance, subject to a $50 cancellation fee. If the cancellation is made within 14 days, the deposit becomes non-refundable. Any cancellations on the day of arrival, no-shows, or early departures will incur charges for the entire reservation amount.

Is breakfast included with an overnight stay?Yes, it is! We proudly stand as the Mad River Valley's sole inn providing a comprehensive, cooked-to-order breakfast menu each morning.

When does peak foliage occur?The Mad River Valley experiences its vibrant foliage season from mid-September to mid-October. The exact peak within that period is unpredictable. Given its popularity, we recommend booking your stay in advance during this season.

Is there snow during [specific date]?Our region averages over 100 inches of snow annually, with the first snowfall usually gracing us in early November. Sugarbush Resort often leads the way as one of the first to open and one of the last east coast resorts to close, typically extending their season until late April or early May.

Am I allowed to bring my own beer/wine?Unfortunately, no. Due to our State of Vermont Liquor License, all alcoholic beverages consumed on our premises must be procured from 1824 House. We provide an exquisite selection of wines and local beers available daily. Additionally, for events or during our dinner services, we feature a full bar in our barn.

When can I check in?You can check in after 4pm. For the convenience of our guests, we provide contactless check-in, allowing you more freedom throughout your day without adhering to strict timings. While we cannot guarantee early check-ins, we'll strive to fulfill such requests whenever possible.

Can we request early check-in or late check-out?While we can't guarantee an early check in or late check out, we'll make every effort to fulfill your request.

Can you cater to specific dietary needs?For our overnight guests, our comprehensive breakfast menu allows us to easily cater to most dietary requirements. However, if you're joining us for dinner, please note that certain dishes may not be customizable. We invite you to explore our current dining options on our menus page. For those with stringent dietary needs, we recommend reaching out to us beforehand for a detailed discussion.

Do you offer room blocks for weddings?Yes, we provide room blocks. Once reserved, guests can book either by calling the inn or online with a unique code.

What is the event capacity at your venue?Our four-season barn is ideal for cocktail parties of up to 75 guests. For sit-down dinners with room for dancing, the barn comfortably accommodates up to 40 guests.
